Is my data private?

Completely. There’s no account and no server — your sessions and keepsakes never leave your device. Cairn has no tracking or analytics. See the Privacy Policy.

Will the end alert sound in Silent mode?

Cairn uses an AlarmKit end-alert that can break through Silent mode and Focus so you don’t miss a session ending, with a local notification as a fallback. The chosen ambient sound (Rain / Room) and the completion chime also play through Silent mode, because you chose them on purpose.

How do I get Cairn Pro back on a new device?

Tap Settings → Restore purchase. Cairn Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID and supports Family Sharing — no Cairn account needed.

What’s free vs. Pro?

The whole timer, tags, stats, wood keepsakes and a garden up to 24 plants are free forever. Cairn Pro (one payment) adds crystal & metal materials, a garden up to 200 plants, and garden themes & palettes — all cosmetic. Cosmetics are never functional.

Do the widget and Apple Watch need anything?

No. Widgets, the Lock Screen, Live Activity / Dynamic Island and the Apple Watch app all read the same on-device data. If today’s minutes or streak look out of date, open the app once to refresh.

What happens if I leave a session early?

Nothing punishing — Cairn is humane by design. Leaving early plants a small neutral “sprout” (never damaged, never shamed); one more session turns it into a keepsake. There are no streak-shaming screens.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting the app removes every session and keepsake from your device immediately. Everything is stored locally.
